The Story Behind Hello Luno – A Father’s Mission to Inspire Creativity
When Daniel Miles became a father, everything changed. His son, Leo, was his world. Like any parent, Daniel wanted the best for him—not just in school, but in life. He wanted Leo to be curious, creative, and confident. But as Leo grew, something started to worry Daniel.
At just 5 years old, Leo was already glued to screens. Whether it was a tablet, a phone, or the TV, it seemed like nothing else could hold his attention for more than a few minutes. Traditional toys? Forgotten in a day. Drawing? He got frustrated with mistakes and crumpled up his sketches. And Daniel couldn’t help but wonder—what if kids today were losing their natural creativity simply because they weren’t given the right tools?
Determined to find a solution, Daniel started researching how children learn best. He spoke with educators, child psychologists, and parents, all of whom confirmed his fears: too much screen time was limiting kids' attention spans and stifling their problem-solving abilities. But the solution wasn’t just to take screens away—it was to give children something even more engaging, exciting, and educational.
That’s when the idea for Hello Luno was born.
Daniel envisioned something that would spark imagination the way screens do, but in a healthier, hands-on way. A tool that would make kids excited to create, experiment, and express themselves without the frustration of mistakes or the mess of traditional art supplies. After months of testing and refining, MagicBoard™ was created—a glowing LED drawing board that captivated kids instantly, making creativity feel like magic.
The response was overwhelming. Leo loved it. He spent hours experimenting, tracing, and inventing stories through his drawings. His confidence grew, his patience improved, and for the first time, Daniel saw his son choosing creativity over screens.
Seeing how much of a difference it made in his own home, Daniel knew he had to share MagicBoard™ with other families. He launched Hello Luno with a simple mission: to bring creativity back into children’s lives in a way that is fun, frustration-free, and screen-free.
Today, thousands of parents trust Hello Luno to give their kids the gift of creativity, and it all started with a father’s love for his son.
Because at the end of the day, the best things we can give our children aren’t just toys—they’re curiosity, confidence, and the freedom to create.
